Before the Christmas holidays, I had been looking for a fun Christmas themed swap to participate in. I was so happy when Heidi was kind enough to shared information on a stocking swap hosted by Joli Paquet. Check out the link here to see some fabulous examples of stocking posted on the blog.
I was thrilled to find out my swap partner was Sarah Elder of My So Called Junky Life. Sarah has a beautiful blog and sells fabulous thing in her Etsy shop.
Here are a few pictures of the stocking I received from Sarah. I was so excited and thrilled with the stocking. It was perfect for me...a little bit farm girl and a little bit shabby pink with some bling.
The stocking was made from a beautiful vintage green and pink quilt.
I love the muslin trim.
The hand beaded applique is so lovely.
Not only was the stocking fabulous, but it was filled with wonderful vintage trim and pieces for future projects. What fun!
Vintage lace and velvet ribbon, millinery flowers, and I love the handmade paper mache bird!
I was so lucky to have received such a talented and generous swap partner. Thank you Sarah for this lovely gift.
Here are a few pictures of the stocking that I sent to Sarah. The stocking was made from an old party dress.
I added some vintage trim.
I ended up nicknaming the stocking "Snow Angel" for it's primarily shimmery white color scheme.
I included a few vintage items to fit the theme.
I added a pink tinsel angel holding some Snow Angel hand cream to sooth those tired aching hands after working on all of the Christmas projects.
Thank you again ladies...Heidi for sharing information on the swap, Cerri Campbell of The Little Pink Studio & the girls for coordinating it all, and especially Sarah for the lovely gift. I hope our paths cross again somewhere along our creative journey.
